Is a free Google listing and landing page check worth it for my business?
It depends. This check fits local businesses that rely on phone calls or bookings from Google Search and Google Maps, and want a second pair of eyes on what customers actually see on a phone. It is useful if you have not looked at your own listing in months, or if you changed your hours, phone number, or website recently. It does not fit online-only stores, businesses without a public Google Business Profile, or anyone looking for a promise about where Google will place their listing in search results.
The 4 checks I do from my phone
- How your listing shows on mobile Search and Maps. I search your business name and a plain category near you on a real phone. I note what a customer sees right away: your business name, primary category, hours, photos, and recent reviews.
- Tapping the Call button. I tap the Call button on your Google listing to make sure it dials the right phone number without broken routing or dead lines.
- Tapping the Website link. I tap through to your landing page on my phone. I check that it loads cleanly, reads without pinching and zooming, and shows a clear way to call or book near the top of the screen.
- Matching your listing to your landing page. I compare the business name, phone number, hours, and services on your Google listing against the page it links to, so customers and search engines do not see conflicting details.
The follow-up: how your reviews compare nearby
After the four checks, I look at the 5 nearby businesses Google shows for the same plain category search. I compare your public star rating and total review count against theirs.
I send you everything in one plain message, by email or text, whichever you gave me: what I saw on the four checks, how your rating and review count sit next to those 5 nearby listings, and one clear next step you can take yourself or ask me to handle. This is a snapshot of public ratings, not a forecast of calls or search placement. There is no way to promise where Google will show any business listing.

Is this really free?
Yes. I do the check myself and send you the notes at no cost. You do not need to create an account, sign a contract, or give me manager access to your listing.
What if I do not have a website?
Leave the website box blank. I will still check your Google Business Profile on Search and Maps, test the Call button, compare your reviews with 5 nearby businesses, and tell you if a simple landing page would help.
Will this change where Google shows my business?
The check itself only looks at your public listing and website, so it changes nothing on its own. If you fix broken links, mismatched hours, or missing categories based on my notes, your listing becomes clearer for customers to use. I cannot promise where Google shows any listing in search results.
