Add LocalBusiness markup that matches your page
LocalBusiness markup puts your name, address, phone and hours into code that machines read, as long as it matches what customers already see on the page.
Published · Updated
LocalBusiness structured data is a short block of code on your website. It states your business name, address, phone, hours and website in a format machines can read. Google says this markup can tell it about things like your business hours and the separate departments inside a business.
It does not promise any result. Google says it does not guarantee your structured data will show up in search results, even when the markup is correct. What it does is state your facts plainly for any search system that reads your page.
How I would set it up
- Put your name, address or service area, phone and hours on the page in plain text first. Google says not to mark up content that readers of the page cannot see.
- Add LocalBusiness markup that matches that text and your Google Business Profile.
- Test the page with Google's Rich Results Test.
- When your hours change, update the page text and the markup together.
Same name, same address, same phone, every time. The markup states it again, in code.
