Add real photos of your work to your Google listing
Real photos of your jobs, team, and storefront or vehicles back up what your Google Business Profile already says in words.
Published · Updated
Photos are part of the Google Business Profile people see in Search and Maps. Real photos of real jobs back up the services and area you already describe in plain text. So a person, or anything reading your listing, sees the same picture of your business.
What Google says
Google's photo standards list JPG or PNG files between 10 KB and 5 MB. The recommended resolution is 720 px by 720 px, and the minimum is 250 px by 250 px. Photos should be in focus, well lit, and not heavily altered or filtered. In Google's words, the image should represent reality.
To add them, open Google Search or Maps on a computer and search your business name and city. Then click Photos, then Add photos.
What I would do this week
- Take photos on real jobs around the metro.
- Add a few of your team, storefront, or vehicles.
- Skip stock images.
- Add new ones when your work or services change.
Photos will not promise you any placement or any mention in an AI answer. They keep the listing honest and complete.
